Gorm

“Victory is for the living. Standing is for the rest of us.” — Brotherhood of Gorm, pre-battle prayer

What Is Known

Gorm is the god of courage — not the bright, triumphant kind, but the grim, stubborn refusal to yield when all seems lost. He is the god of holding the line, of standing when standing means death, of protecting others even when protection is futile.

The party fought alongside the Brotherhood of Gorm in the Lost City, under King Alekazar’s alliance against the Cult of Zargon. The Brotherhood had been nearly exterminated by the cult, but they never stopped fighting. Their courage, even in the face of extinction, was a testament to their god.

How He’s Depicted

A fully armored knight with no visible face — his helm always closed, his visor always down. His statues show him mid-swing, weapon raised not in triumph but in grim duty. The common gesture among his followers is a closed fist over the heart.
